The Dr. Oz Show to Give Kansas City a “15 Minute Physical” in Partnership with HCA Midwest Health System on Oct. 30
October 26, 2012
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, Dr. Mehmet Oz will give Kansas City a “15 Minute Physical” in partnership with HCA Midwest Health System, Alere, Inc. and Practice Fusion from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Research Medical Center Brookside Campus.
The Dr. Oz Show’s “15 Minute Physical” awareness event will screen 1,000 pre-registered Kansas City citizens for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, weight and waist size. Each registrant will receive their results and a consultation with a health professional in partnership with HCA Midwest Health System, advising them on any follow up measures.
As part of a nation-wide tour of “15 Minute Physicals,” Dr. Oz will then give Kansas City its very own report card based on data collected that day from registrants. With partner Practice Fusion, trends and averages on these all important public health markers will be collected and analyzed in real time. The results will provide an observation that will serve as a discussion point for Dr. Oz to hand over the results and speak about the city’s health with Mayor “Sly” Sylvester James at 3 p.m.
The two-time Emmy® Award-winning, nationally syndicated The Dr. Oz Show airs locally on KMBC Channel 9 at 4:00 p.m.
