For the times when starting a family does not go as planned, Research Medical Center Women’s Care offers one of the most respected and successful fertility programs in the area. The Assisted Reproductive Technology Lab at Research Medical Center, offering in-vitro fertilization procedures, has helped countless women become pregnant. Our lab consistently produces high pregnancy rates (see our rates at fertilitysuccessrates.com and sart.org), while maintaining strict ethics to minimize multiple births. Complementing our lab services are fertility therapy options including counseling, fertility-enhancing medications, artificial insemination and gynecologic surgeries for endometriosis, tubal and uterine issues.
Gregory Starks, MD, is the Medical Director of the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) program at Research Medical Center. Dr. Starks has more than 30 years of experience assisting couples become families. The IVF laboratory is directed by Michael Wilson, PhD. Dr. Wilson has more than 20 years experience directing IVF laboratories. The Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) program utilizes state of the art technology (Blastocyst Embryo Transfer, PGS/PGD – pre-implantation genetic screening/ diagnosis, advanced embryo cryopreservation/thawing) to offer patients the best opportunity to achieve their dream of having a child.
The ART program at Research Medical Center has consistently had live birth rates that are well above the national average.
Fertility treatments may include:
- Gynecologic surgeries
- Intrauterine insemination
- Oral and injectable medication cycles
- In vitro fertilization (IVF) with Day 5 transfers
- Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)—A single sperm is injected into the egg. The resulting embryo can be implanted into the uterus or frozen for later use
- Embryo cryopreservation by vitrification
- Assisted hatching
- Educational ART and injectable fertility medication classes
- Off-site infertility counseling
- Donor eggs
- Pre-implantation genetic screening & diagnosis
