Hamid M. Shah, MD, is a Midwesterner, raised in Wichita, Kan. , who graduated from Wichita State University and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. The newest medical staff member of the Midwest Neuroscience Institute at Research Medical Center, Dr. Shah most recently completed a fellowship in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. A highly-regarded specialist and teacher, Dr. Shah served as chief resident during his neurosurgery residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He has participated in numerous research projects and lectures and served as an assistant professor in the field of neurosurgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and as an instructor at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. Dr. Shah is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgery, Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and the North American Spine Society.
